Halloween Poems & Lyrics

This set of lyrics belong to a quodlibet or ‘what you will.’ In this case that means that there are 5 short, seperate songs that can all be sung at the same time. ’The Ghost Ship’ pirate song is available on Thirteen for Halloween.

The First Mate

Hoist that sail! Our colors unfurl!
We’ll give ‘em ten guns or we’re not the Black Pearl.

The Cook

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
I pilfer’d a pint but I can’t taste none!

The Navigator

Land must be near, not very far;
Follow the moon, nev-er the star.

The Cabin Boy

Doomed, we’re doomed to roam, we’re doomed!

The Captain

Why didn’t I think? Oh, Why didn’t I fear?
What good is the gold with a curse so drear?
