Everything Halloween

The big event for me at Halloween is throwing a party for all of my family. We usually hold this the week before Halloween, so as not to interfere with all my nephews and nieces trick-or-treeting. We don’t have any children of our own, so Halloween night is just a night to pass out candy, have donuts and apple cider. It would be kind of fun to just leave everything behind and go on a haunted vacation for Halloween; some place that has a number of ‘haunted’ sites, like a tour of New Orleans or just one really cool one like Belcourt Castle in Newport Rhode Island. Recently I was asked to visit a site that lists vacation rentals in various cities across the nation, which is what got me thinking about this. The vacation rental idea seems like a nice alternative to hotels. I feel lost without a kitchen. It’s just a daydream now, but next time we do travel, we’ll be checking this out more, because I have never really liked hotels. I understand there are a number or Haunted Hotels, but who wants to sleep in one?
