Build Your Own Halloween Hobby Site
You’ve made a bunch of cool props, or other Halloween art pieces / costumes / etc. and now it’s time to share them with the world. Where do you go? Hpage.com asked me to try out their free website builder, that comes with 250Mb of free photo storage (that’s a lot of Halloween photos) and an extra 50Mb for other types of files. Since I already have a Halloween site, I thought I’d start a Thanksgiving site. In about fifteen minutes I had signed up for a new account and created this:
What I liked about the experience was that a prompt-box tutorial was included to get me through the first steps of learning their site editor’s format. The page editor also includes a WYSIWYG interface, so you don’t have to know HTML to get going. I picked an appropriate theme for Fall / Thanksgiving and edited the already existing "Welcome" page. There are a bunch of other features that I didn’t explore that you may be interested in: site counters, forums, guestbook and more, but the most exciting thing, I believe, for someone without a site already is all that free on-site photo storage.
So, if you need a new website quick, and "free" sounds good to you, then I encourage you to go and build a website for yourself at hpage.com.
