These simple garlands made from plastic pumpkins look great hanging across your room.
Materials:
- Plastic pumpkin favor containers. One per foot of garland you wish to make (measure your room).
- Roll of jute or any other ribbon, string or small rope.
To construct:
- Glue end of a length of jute with Elmer’s glue. Press the end into a point and let dry. If not pointy enough, use scissors to shape.
- Remove handles from pumpkins to reveal holes.
- With pointy end of jute, thread jute through pumpkin holes.
- Place pumpkins at 12′ intervals making knots outside of each hole to prevent movement.
- Tie loops at beginning and end of garland for hanging, or hang with thumbtacks.
