Announcing the Winners of the 2008 Thirteen for Halloween Art Contest
About the contest:
The contest was open to all school age children and young adults. There were three age categories. Each of the winners will be sent a 1Gb MP3 Player and a CD of Thirteen for Halloween.

Middle 5-8 : Carly Carter
Presents a fun and interesting skull still life.

High School 9-12 : Traven Sherrod
A wonderful use of colors and shading.

The foremost factor that was considered was skill displayed. Also, use of materials, composition, and creativity were considered.
I spent quite some time going through the artwork submitted and analyzing it based on this criteria. I then presented my thoughts to someone else, whose opinion I trust, and we chose the works above.
