I couldn’t resist giving a detail of Dracula trying to pass off as an angel. I am, of course, inspired by the work of Edward Gorey, though this is the opposite of his preferred pen and ink technique. An etching starts out as a black board: the image is created by scratching away the paint until the image emerges.
